Fix Prado Power Windows after Disconnected Battery (120 or 150 Prado)

If you were anything like me, you freaked out when your power windows stopped working in your Prado.

My first thought was, f*ck more money to spend.

However, a quick Google search determined that I was an idiot, and my car was not broken.

All I had to do was reset the power windows.

This often happens when your battery is disconnected, so I am going to show you how to reset the power windows on your Prado.

How to Reset the Power Windows

These steps should work for 120 & 150 Prado’s, but don’t hold me to that (because I don’t own a 150).

Step 1. At the affected window, roll it down half way using the passenger switch.

Step 2. Still at the same window, roll it all the way up and hold the switch in the up position for a few seconds. This should reset the master control switch.

Step 3. Check back at your drivers master switch, and that window should be fixed!

Step 4. Repeat steps 1-3 for any remaining windows that aren't working.

That’s all there is too it, I’m not sure why Toyota designed it to work like that - but it does.

If you still need help, I recommend watching this video on how to fix the Prado power window issue!
